Email Campaigns

Guidance for creating effective email campaigns.

Sender, Reply-To & BCC

In the campaign composer (and in journey email steps), the Sender section controls who the email comes from and where replies and copies go. The same controls appear in both places.

  • Sender - pick a saved sender identity from the dropdown. Sender identities are managed under Settings → Email Configuration (a display name + address on a verified sending domain).
  • Customize From - tick this to override the saved sender with a custom display name + local part on one of your verified sending domains (e.g. news@yourdomain.com). Leave it unticked to send from the selected saved sender.
  • Reply-To - choose a managed reply-to address, or "Exclude" (replies go to the From address). Reply-To addresses are limited to the workspace's managed list.
  • BCC - choose a managed BCC address. Adding a BCC doubles your billable emails. Your workspace compliance BCC (if configured) is always also applied - a per-message BCC is added on top, never replaces it.

For A/B campaigns these controls are per variant - each variant can send from its own identity (A/B test the From line). See A/B Testing. The managed Reply-To / BCC lists and the "require a BCC" toggle live under Settings → Email Configuration.
